Be interesting to see if Forces manage to show Year One unedited. ITV seem to need a 70 minute slot these days to show vintage 50 minute series and with Year One often 52 minutes they'll need less ads or a longer slot if they don't edit them.

They showed UFO too but those are well under 50 minutes although I didn't see them so don't know if they were cut.

Between them The Horror Channel, Forces TV and True Entertainment are giving us a wealth of classic shows. If their picture quality was not so poor they would be worth watching too

Not sure 10pm screenings with 2.10am repeats will reignite interest in the show

10.00pm is not a bad time - it's the time Forces TV are currently screening 'UFO'. Presumably it will simply slip in to that slot. People can always record it for viewing at a different time. I understand it starts on March 5th.

Forces TV are showing a lot of interesting old programmes including 'Special Branch' at 9.00pm featuring George Sewell who then features in 'UFO' straight afterwards.

Not if all episodes are as badly edited as the first one - did they just leave it running while the last advert break was on?

The whole point of Breakaway is the explosion of the waste dump and they managed to loose the whole of the start of it........

They have admnitted it was a mistake. The repeat on Saturday will be uncut.

A bit ironic missing out what is the most critical and pivotal 5 minutes on the entire series!

At least they admitted it was a mistake - and I thought it was a nice touch to show the missing bit ahead of last nights episode.

Seeing this again does raise that old question though: How many Eagles were lost when the waste dump exploded - given that they "were all commited" and the only one available for Alan to take up was the Commissioners one? The never ending supply of Eagles was always a good talking point....... (along with how many times Carter managed to get knocked out/crash).

Yes it was, You don't get other channels doing that. They didn't show all of the missing footage though.

Did you notice that the neck of Keonig's spacesuit kept changing from the padded version to the ribbed one when he was out flying over Area 2?. And Carter kept referring to himself as Eagle 1 when the sign on the cockpit door showed Eagle 6.

You can definitely spot the different direction the SFX took under Brian Johnson. More use of manipulated cutouts, the view of the Meta Probe docking was particularly noticeably.

Apart from curiosity to see how its handled I don't see much reason to watch things on Forces tv as I have any I'm interested in on dvd or Bluray.
Read on The Mausoleum Club that despite the late slot UFO was cut for violence and the Identified sequence of Lt Ellis getting changed was edited out.
That to me makes the channel as worthless as so many of the others that pander to PC.

Since they got a telling off Talking Pictures is also now mainly a write off

I can't understand them cutting that sequence. It just showed that Gabrielle Drake had a lovely shapely figure and there's nothing wrong with that so I can't see why that was cut. I don't think I'll be watching any of the shows on Forces TV - I'll stick to my DVDs of UFO and Space:1999 instead.
