Default Thunderbirds are Go/Thunderbird 6 Soundtack Coming

There hasn't been what you would call a 'formal' announcement yet but La La Land Records are releasing the soundtracks to Thunderbirds are Go/Thunderbird 6 sometime next month.

No other info at present - presumably on one CD, or a 2 CD set, depending how much music there was.

If they do I think it fits on a single CD. Especially TaG is short. I hope they will do the cues of the film rather than yet another releasef the UA soundtrack album which is recorded separately from the film. It's a great album, but released several times over already. Time for a new approach!

You'll be pleased to learn that the forthcoming release is the work of the same people behind the club's popular and successful soundtrack releases - Tim Mallett and Ralph Titterton (plus others) - and, as with the club releases, will present the actual film score.

More details just as soon as we get them from La La Land Records.

Available on Tuesday...

THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO / THUNDERBIRD 6
MUSIC BY BARRY GRAY
LLLCD 1306
LIMITED EDITION OF 1200 UNITS
RETAIL PRICE: $19.98

PRODUCED FOR LA-LA LAND RECORDS BY FORD A. THAXTON
ALBUM RESEARCHED, COMPILED AND PRODUCED BY RALPH TITTERTON
AUDIO RESTORATION, ASSEMBLY, EDITING AND MASTERING BY TIM MALLETT
LINER NOTES BY JEFF BOND
ART DIRECTION BY MARK BANNING

La-La Land Records, MGM and ITC Entertainment are happy to present two of Barry Gray’s finest film scores ever recorded – THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO and THUNDERBIRD 6. For Thunderbirds Are Go, this marks the first release of the original soundtrack recording from the film (presented in glorious mono), the LP release was a re-recording. Thunderbird 6 is presented in stereo for first time (the previous release was in mono). While the audio presentations for both scores do vary, it’s very clear that a lot of T.L.C. went into producing this incredible set by Ralph Titterton and Ford A. Thaxton. Detailed liner notes by noted Thunderbirds scholar Jeff Bond take the listener on a worldwide journey through Barry Gray’s memorable music…with no strings attached while Mark Banning’s art direction skyrockets this 24 booklet presentation to new heights.

Is that a fact? Hands up all of us who knew or thought Jeff Bond was a noted Thunderbirds scholar as La La Land claim...

Jeff's well known in film score fan circles, having been involved in many score releases, often writing very good liner notes. He is without doubt a noted Star Trek scholar, but I take the claim that he's a 'noted' Thunderbirds scholar with a large pinch of salt

I'm only being tongue in cheek, but I do find some of the hype in these publicity releases somewhat overdone sometimes. The quality of the music and its composer will transcend all that, I'm quite sure.
