If it gets restored to the same level as The Professionals it might be worth a look once a complete series set comes out

I noticed it says the number of discs to be 2 so would all 39 episodes fit on 2 discs in HD?

I hope the Blu-ray includes all the scripts (including the unmade episodes), this time as PDF files.

It's listed as The Complete Series 1, not The Complete Series. 2 discs for 13 x 25 minutes would be about right for the first block of episodes. The listing could be inaccurate though.

It would seem the negatives are destroyed and as many as 6 episodes may only exist on 1" tape.
The biggest question seems to be "is it actually worth it"?

I wouldn't have thought Network would add it to their bluray library unless they did something to it to improve on the original set but we'll have to wait and see what they announce. I will say that I'm happy with the original DVD set.

I thought Terrahawks looked awful on DVD. Very much the poor relation compared to the earlier Anderson series.
I think there's potentially a huge margin for improvement in a Blu-ray release.

It was shot of 16mm unlike the earlier shows done on 35mm so the quality will be worse. If the original negs were found and a full restoration taken place like that of The Professionals I doubt we'd see much in the way of improvements to the original set.

16mm need not look as bad as Terrahawks on dvd did but I gather Revelation were lazy and simply transferred a decades old set of 1" tapes used for tv broadcast onto disc which is why they were crap just like The Professionals has been until the restoration.

If they can get Terrahwaks even close to the quality of The Professionals its a worthwhile exercise but if all they have are existing prints and tapes then improvements will be limited. Either way I do wonder if Terrahawks has enough of a fan base to justify the cost of such a restoration
