Default How about a Christmas episode of new tag

What would the plot be. A remake of give or take a million or a new plot?

Well...... assuming they actually started transmitting the remaining Series 3 episodes soon, and assuming some of them are 2 parters that they might actually transmit on the same day... then there is just enough time to get the final episode in on Christmas week.

In which case I'd go for a "Return of Jeff" as a finale to the whole thing and give the Tracy Family the best present that anyone who's lost their Dad could get for Christmas.

[Edit: Just noticed that a repeat of the first set of Series 3 eps starts this coming saturday (8th Sept) on CITV - so it could allow for something new at Xmas)

Considering Designated Driver was the episode shown closest to Christmas (poss Christmas day?) I think it is highly unlikely they will do an episode specifically tied to Christmas. That seems to be the calling card of Modern Dr Who. Or has been in the past.

Wink

Mine would be simple. It's Christmas Eve. Two small boys, Billy and Bobby, run away from home, and head to New York to the world famous Lacey's department store, home of the world's best Grotto. They think Santa has all his presents stored there.

Unbeknownst to the authorities, and starting in Tokyo, the Chaos Crew have tapped into the biggest and tallest cellular masts in the world to disrupt the entire world cellular network over Christmas. They are working their way towards New York disguised as cellphone company workers on the world's biggest masts, and in Times Square, the mast is right next to Lacey's. Each of the main masts in the world's biggest cities have been booby trapped. The Hood plans to announce a message country by country, each company must pay $1bn ransom or the cellphone and satellite communications will come to a halt when the masts blow up at midnight on Christmas Eve/Morning.

The Japanese companies refuse to pay up, and the cell mast in Tokyo blows up, and crashes down trapping several people in the coach full of revelers it has fallen down on. International Rescue are dispatched to the scene. Can they rescue the partygoer's, and reach the next mast and defuse the bombs within the hour they have before the next mast is destroyed? 24 masts, 24 hours.

The Chinese authorities attempts to defuse the Bejing mast accidentally detonates it. No one is harmed. The worlds authorities decide that only the GDF and IR should attempt to diffuse the bombs. However, each mast is wired differently, meaning only Brains skill and knowledge can save the day.

Realizing that after London, New York will be the next mast, Penny and Parker head off in FAB1 for New York hoping to beat them there, with Kayo also heading there in TB Shadow to save the day. However, they catch them in the act, and in the ensuing struggle, the explosives are detonated. The mast falls onto Laceys, causing major damage, trapping Billy and Bobby in the basement Grotto. Water is flooding in. Using a toy IR walkie talkie from the grottoes the boys manage to contact IR who rush to save the day.

The store's Father Christmas sees the incident on the TV, and in his costume, rushes to help. Will IR save the day, or will the mysterious store santa save the boys? And just WHO (no he's not a doctor lol,) is the man in the red suit and false beard and big twinkle in his eye?

This would be a two part series finale. Suggestions as to who the mystery Father Christmas is are very welcome. You may just have seen him in this outfit in 2026.

Well at least you'd have the choice of whether to watch it or not, and then discuss whether it was rubbish or not on here.

Unlike any mention/discussion of Firestorm, which seems to just get removed.......
