Default Big Finish Captain Scarlet

Big Finish are producing some interesting items for the 50th anniversary....many of which have already been done by Fanderson!

The audios of the John Theydon books particularly caught me eye.

So will this curtail any more mini albums by Fanderson?
I was looking forward to completing my collection.

I doubt that would be the case, if anything there may be a slight delay, but Fanderson have always worked very hard to bring us outstanding high quality releases and at the moment, the next big one (Joe 90) will probably mean a bit of a wait for the next Mini Album set anyway (especially as we've just had a new set of 3 mini albums).

Thanks for the heads up - Just ordered.

I'd also like to see The Daleks get a release and include both versions (I understand there were 2 with differing music links).

To put your mind at rest we fully intend to finish off the original Century 21 mini albums.
Doppleganger soundtrack is pending (sorry for the delays on this)
Joe 90 soundtrack later this year.
If funds allow we might be able to squeeze in another set of mini-albums in 2017 if not we'll endeavour to bring them to you as soon as possible next year.

I wonder what these 8 TV stories are with linking narration by Ed Bishop? Surely they don't include Fanderson's?

There are only 8 Bishop-narrated stories, Timelash, so it's all 8 of them, which are: Big Ben Strikes Again, Manhunt, Model Spy, The Heart of New York, Special Assignment, Flight 104 and two others, which I can't remember at the moment.

Does that means Fanderson are involved? I thought these Ed Bishop 'new' ones were done for Fanderson. Don't suppose it matters, just wondering.

Just to put everyone's minds at rest, although the club isn't involved in Big Finish's project, our agreement with ITV means that we can and will continue to release our reproduction mini albums for everyone to enjoy. Indeed, our latest set went on sale in January http://fanderson.org.uk/gerryanderso...1-mini-albums/

As Big Finish's announcement suggests they're putting 13 episodes onto seven discs we expect this to appeal to a different market to fans who want restored reproductions (ie, each mini album on a single disc) as we've been releasing for a few years now.

Like everyone, we'd dearly love to include The Daleks in our releases, and we're actively following leads to see if this is possible.

Nick

I must admit that I too was under the impression that the Ed Bishop-narrated product had been produced entirely by Fanderson.

I'm ashamed to say that I used to have the original 7" mini album of 'The Daleks' and then, about 1997, sold it to a friend (who had been pestering me for ages!) for a very small sum of money! I dread to think how much he probably re-sold it for. I daren't ask! Also, what makes it even worse is that the mini album was given to me circa 1975 by another friend as he felt sure that, with me, it would find a better home. And yes, I have regularly kicked myself ever since!
