So.... the latest "curveball" in what ITV are doing with the repeats (and hence the gap until the second half of Series 2 is shown) is that as well as Series 2 Ep 13 being on ITV this morning it was followed by Series 1 Ep 1 on CITV a bit later on.

If they are going to put them all on again we might be in for a bit of a wait.

back in may there was a press screening for a episode of the second half of series 2 of 'thunderbirds are go' & was stated it was going to be shown on the CITV channel during the summer.as it's now july it's looks like we have to wait till september or october if they're still repeating the first 39 episodes in a loop.

September 9th is looking likely at this stage. Looks like someone's confused season 2 part 2 with season 3 (as season 3 was supposed to air in 2017 too).

I suspect it's not helped by Amazon etc referring to Series 1 as "Seasons 1 and 2" and then the first half of Series 2 as "Season 3".

My guess is that the rest of Series 2 is now not going to be on until the end of October - which is where they started the last 2 "half Series" - that would give at least some lead up to any new toys to be launched ahead of Christmas (assuming the ones that Vivid had at the toy fair actually get released).

What adds to the confusion is that Ben, Nich and Sam have finished scoring the episodes, meaning they're completely finished. Usually this doesn't happen, I.e. episodes are still being scored when the first few are airing.

Series 2 Part 2 confirmed to air in September!

The confirmed guest cast is as follows...
  • Adam Hills (The Last Leg) as Buddy Pendergast
  • Alan Ford (Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) as Light Fingered Fred
  • Asa Butterfield (Hugo, Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children) as Space Controller Conrad
  • David Tennant (Broadchurch, Doctor Who) as Tycho Reeves
  • Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones, Me Before You) as Doyle
  • Kathryn Drysdale (Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps) as Kate
  • Mark Gatiss (Sherlock, Taboo) as Professor Quentin Questa
  • Ruby Wax (Ruby, The Waiting Game) as Hayley Edmonds
  • Togo Igawa (Memoirs of a Geisha, The Last Samurai) as Toshi Murakami
  • Fred as Lizard 1
  • Frank as Lizard 2
Very interested to see the reboot version of Light Fingered Fred, and I can only assume Fred & Frank are indeed real lizards (Attack of the Alligators reimagining, anyone?)

David Tennant's Tycho Reeves is described as 'a billionaire inventor much admired by Brains, who has some unexpected teething problems on the inaugural voyage of his superspeed Hypercar', while Emilia Clarke's Doyle is 'a resilient and courageous oil rig worker who stands up for what is right and allies herself with International Rescue.'

Well, that's one heck of a guest list - can but hope the stories do them some justice.

I note they don't mention broadcast times yet - but it is still on both ITV and CITV:

That's a heck of a lineup!

Also, it looks like I could be right with September 9. Watch this space.
