Fed up with the supposition and rumours, I contacted ITV directly. By phone and email.
To be blunt, I said what I thought RE Inferno, the inconsistant writing of the series, and how the programme is treated in scheduling terms.

ITV were just as blunt about Inferno.

Thanks for the extra info.

Is there any info on which non-UK DVDs the episode might actually be on? or have they pulled it from all of them?

I thought this was one of the best done episodes in the series and I'd recommend seeing it (though clearly not if the underlying idea is likely to upset you - that should however be your choice, not some unappointed "nanny" in ITV).

It really is a great episode.

As more time has gone on, I'm understanding less and less the decision to hold it back like this. Hell, the episode portrays the fire services in an incredibly good light - no comedy incompetence and they help International Rescue probably more than most other guest characters have done over the show's run.

The sad reality is Grenfell Tower isn't in the public conciousness anywhere near as much as it was when the decision was made, but I guess they still don't see it was worth the risk to air it.

I made that point myself. As far as ITV are concerned the matter is closed. However I disagree, and I will be taking further action next week.

In the meantime, I stand by what I said previously.
A review thread will be created for Inferno as part of the TAG Season 2 section of this forum once the DVD is released.

Entertaining promo video on the Thunderbirds Facebook page advertising the show going on US Prime in Feb:

(If you watch closely one bit is from "Inferno")

The DVD is in the shops, as confirmed, no Inferno on it.
However a promise kept - A review topic for Inferno, as Ep 2.26, is now in the TAG Season 2 reviews section of the forum.

Looks like the March rumour was true and makes it even more stupid that they missed it off the dvd

Yes, but it does mean they could add it to the series box set (assuming there is one) and get everyone that's already got the stand alone Pt2 to buy it again.
