Sad fact is Mr Fox, when an actor passes, the media will always leap on the major films and ongoing tv performances they did. Simply because they are the roles they are remembered for by the majority of people. Mr Cole was Flash Harry to millions who saw the St Trinians Films, and Arthur Daley was a role that made him a household name throughout the seventies, eighties and early nineties. One episode of UFO (and I agree with you, his performance as Roper was wonderful) would only be remembered by a select few by comparison. I often thought Mr Cole would have made a fantastic Parker in a live action version of Thunderbirds.

While I am at it - My condolences to Mr Cole's family and friends for their loss.

Cole made hundreds of tv appearances, often in a leading role so it's no surprise that his guest appearances won't get a mention. I bet they didn't mention his second pre Minder appearance with Dennis Waterman in an episode of The Sweeney either

His first being in the rather splendid 1971 thriller 'Fright'.

Yes, good little movie from the director of The Italian Job.
Until I watched that episode of The Sweeney by coincidence a week or two back I thought Fright was their only pre Minder appearance together.

Didn't see any mention of Cole in the 1951 Scrooge either
