Yes I agree.
Which is why it seems foolish to throw a strop just because others make comments that don't show appreciation for one of the many areas you may be interested in.
A thread on fan fiction would be fine on this forum and might indicate if many others are interested in it.

Throwing strops seems quite popular at the moment. I've seen comments from one or two other members on other forums who claim they won't be contributing anymore because of comments made in the Thunderbirds 1965 threads.
It would appear that differing opinions (the purpose of a forum) are only welcomed by some if they agree with their own

It arrives when it arrives (says I, sitting cross-legged on the floor, eyes closed and chanting a little hypnotic mantra while listening to tabla and sitar music...)

Whenever it arrives ... it will be warmly welcomed here, as it always is.

All the best

Looking through some old copies of FAB, I am reminded that you would often change the style of the mag's logo to tie-in with Gerry's latest series.

As Gerry's older shows are re-released and reappraised, I wonder if this tradition could be continued now with UFO? Perhaps the cover and masthead could be redesigned in a style redolent of the UFO series logo or, perhaps, the Countdown comic masthead?

Countdown was, in many ways, the successor to TV Century 21 and so perhaps FAB could reflect this? And with the release of the ultimate edition UFO boxset imminent, now would seem to be the time to do this.

There is, of course, absolutely nothing wrong with the current TV21-style FAB logo, but change, every now and then, is no bad thing and helps to keep everything fresh.

Just a thought.

I too am greatly looking forward to issue 84...

FAB !!!

Default Fan Fiction

In case anyone is interested to get a taste of FF.

Judge for yourself what it takes to write a story. But no need to print in FAB, just create your link for any Anderson series... Like our friends at Specturm HQ have done. An endless collection, and there are regular updates too.

Enjoy the read.....

Hi Jack,

I know that we are all eager to receive the latest issue of FAB (84), but as we Fanderson Members are aware, the Committee are all unpaid volunteers that do the club work in their spare time as a hobby, since they have other commitments, e.g. families, real jobs (the jobs that they do for a living), etc.

Quite!

As I've said before, I really don't understand why people can't just wait patiently for the next issue to turn up.

I'm sure it's a tribute to the people behind the magazine that it's eagerly anticipated, but all the same...
