Default SpaceX

Anyone else watch the SpaceX capsule launch? The launch must have reminded some of the older anderson fans of apollo. The docking at the international space station reminded me of Thunderbird 3 docking with Thunderbird 5.

Quite amazing - but also interesting in that in your average SciFi programme/film ships just fly up to each other, dock and the crew run into the ship right away. In reality of course it takes about an hour to line up and dock and the two hours to check it's all OK before you open the hatch.......

Another Falcon Heavy launch - and landing - coming up soon, hopefully the centre core will make it back in one piece this time.

Meanwhile, these are always worth another look:

Not forgetting that this is supposed to start "hop" tests later this year:

(once they've made a new top for it as the first one got damaged, and put the engines in).

When this will really happen though is more of a challenge:

So the capsule is safely back on Earth, but in the meantime this has been on the move (lacking appropriate music):

.... at least they didn't need to get it across a suspension bridge........
