How many issues of the S.I.G magazine were produced?

A couple of years ago I came across my file of printer invoices for SiG and, out of curiosity, I added up how many had been printed/reprinted over the years. I was a bit amazed to find it was over 80,000 1

It would be a nice idea for SIG and Century 21 to be issued as scans on disc.
I think these would also attract a new market of fans who would not bother buying the actual magazines.

I was lucky enough to pick up issues 2 - 20 on Ebay a few days ago. All I need now is a copy of issue 1 to complete the set.

How many issues were there of century 21?

I did - as well as for FAB and Andersonic. It makes a great set that can now be easily searched once the scanned text has been ocr-ed.

It's something Fanderson could look into

You bought a set ? Or you did your own?
Having emailed Mr Thunder a few times regarding SIG and Century 21 I don't think he's happy about such an idea while the magazines themselves are available .
I see it as a lost opportunity although both he and Andrew Pixley ( regarding Time Screen of which I do have a set of scans) both mention the problems of permission from the original contributors who may not be happy to see their articles reissued in this way.
Ever the perfectionist Mr Pixleys main worry seemed to be about the articles carrying out of date information - surely part of the charm of such a product.

Fanderson too are missing a trick by not making their mag available although I daresay there would be licencing issues for them but a disc with FAB 1-70 would be excellent although I wouldn't want to be the poor sod who had to scan them

Default They're mine

I got the issues when they were published, so I got my paper set. What I do with it is my decision only - and it was to digitize them. If I were to sell those or make them publicly available, that would violate the rules. But what I do with them privately (scanning, giving away, burning etc) is my decision and mine alone.

Reading the thread Deklerkt, I got the impression Phelings wasn't firing a warning shot across your bows or anything like that. I got the impression he was just expressing a concern. Although it wasn't really necessary, because as you went on to point out, you legally purchased tham and have the right to do anything private with them you want to. You are not distributing them or profiting from your private copies, so no rights have been breached. Something I would hope your fellow forum contributers would not need pointing out to them.
