Default Fab 77

Issue 77 dropped through my letterbox today. Included in the package was the magazine, the 'open letter' regarding the relationship with Anderson Entertainment, a sales leaflet and a badge - with 'Fanderson 2014' on.

Did you not get the two specification sheet reproductions ? One for Thunderbirds and another for Joe 90.

I had exactly the same but no Thunderbirds/Joe 90 specification sheet reproductions.

No repro specification sheets included, (although I didn't mention the address sheet/wrapper and sales order form).

Spent quite a bit of the evening reading the mag - I'm always pleased and impressed by it. It's a nicely presented and produced publication.

Only those renewing their membership would have got the repro sheets. You'll get them when it comes time to renew. My sub starts with the issue after the free gift is released so I have to wait a full year.

By the way, I'm a bit confused with the number of FABs per sub. I thought we had gone to a 3 issue sub, but my sub will expire with issue 79 so that's 4 and the web site still says 4 issues.

I renewed my sub' with no'77 and the cover sheet tells me my sub' runs out with no'79. So only 3 issues it seems for new renewals.

I renewed with issue 76 and my cover sheet says it expires with issue 79. Maybe I squeezed in just in time.

However if it is 3 issues, Fanderson needs to update it's website!

If you refer back to FAB 75 page 9 ('Chairman's Dispatches'), you will see that Nick Williams did give notice of the change. Faced with ever rising costs, including postage, the decision was taken to reduce the number of issues from four to three instead of putting membership fees up. Personally, I think it was the right decision.

There was also some discussion of it on this forum (possibly on Facebook too - I don't know because I'm not on Facebook) and as far as I recall other members who expressed an opinion were also broadly in agreement.

I'm not disputing that as that was what I remembered. Just that I seem to be getting 4 issues with my new sub and it still refers to four issues on the Fanderson FAB page - which obviously needs to be changed.

I just found it a bit confusing - and yes I'm easily confused !
