Default FAB69 Is Coming

Oooooh - just seen what I think is the final cover to FAB69 - its looking very nice. Don't want to be too hasty and post it here yet though - to be sent out to members in a few weeks time.

Angry Heart Failure

I nearly had heart failure when I realised I had not renewed my membership. Cheers for the reminder. I hope my renewal has now arrived. No excuse apart from the fact I am getting old. The cover looks fantastic. I am sure the contents are fabulous as well.

Got my FAB yesterday, very interesting read on Doppelganger. Interestingly none of all the Gratuitous sex scenes seem to forward the plot much.

Got mine yesterday too. I agree that's a great article on the Doppelganger film. I also enjoyed the Stingray and the More Haste Less Speed articles too. Another FAB issue.

Spent a lazy morning in bed reading this.

A great read as always. The Doppelganger censorship article was very interesting, as were the screen grabs contrasting the different aspect ratios.

Nice to see The Secret Service getting some appreciation too. When the DVD came out I watched an episode a week on a Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed it.

Has everyone got their issue? I don't see too much talk on the boards about that latest issue and I have not received mine yet although I did renew a little late ( late July).

Thanks

just thought that I would throw in my four penneth,I agree with Nick Williams at the end address of tv21 convention when he said about that in future there could be less emphasis on episode screenings and more on the interviews-time-etc.

and I agree with what was said in the opening page of FAB 69 about how fanderson has changed over the years, the first time I saw an episode of The Secret Service was at Plan-B in the mid-80`s.

now what with dvd and blu ray,and youtube, most of Gerry`s work is available for us to watch when we want to.

at tv21 last year I practicaly ignored the episodes and kept to the interviews and lectures-only catching the end of an episode of ufo because the screening over ran by five minutes, most of the people that I chatted to thought that in future the interviews-etc should be longer, you cannot please everybody but you can try to please most, and fanderson certainly does.
