Richard Gregory has died

Fanderson are saddened to hear of the death of special effects master Richard Gregory.

Known to Anderson fans for his work on Terrahawks and Space Precinct, Gregory established himself as an animatronics designer on the Walking with Dinosaurs series in the early 2000s, before working on a series of Hollywood blockbusters, including a a trio of Daniel Craig Bond films, The Dark Knight  and Disney’s John Carter.

He will be sadly missed. A full tribute will appear in the next issue of FAB magazine.

Terry Adlam to appear at Supercelebration

Comedy writer Terry AdlamFanderson is delighted to announce that comedy writer Terry Adlam has agreed to attend Supercelebration in September.

Terry first worked for Gerry Anderson when he joined the visual effects team on Terrahawks, before going on to create, write and direct the stop-motion Dick Spanner series, narrated by Shane Rimmer (another name on our glittering guest lineup!).

Terry loves coming to Fanderson events to speak about his work with fans and has attended our last three conventions. As you’d expect from a comedy writer, he’s a very funny guy, (Mike Burrows has captured a rare serious shot of him here!). We’re looking forward to welcoming him to the stage once again to discuss Gerry Anderson’s revival in the 1980s.

Join us for a Supercelebration

Early bird tickets to Supercelebration start at just £55 per person for one day, or £90 for the whole weekend. In this challenging financial climate, we’ve managed to keep the ticket price the same as our Special Assignment convention in 2017. That’s because we’re a fan club and no one is taking a salary.
