Dominic Lavery signs up for Special Assignment

New Captain Scarlet

We are so pleased to announce that New Captain Scarlet’s Dominic Lavery will be attending Special Assignment.

Dominic was the Concept Art Director on New Captain Scarlet and directed eight episodes in total. Of course, we’ll also be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the original Captain Scarlet series during the convention, so there will be plenty to discuss with Dominic!

SIGN UP TODAY – TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE!

Tickets to Special Assignment start at just £65 per person for one day, or £110 for the whole weekend. We’ve managed to keep the ticket price the same as The Future Is Fantastic! convention in 2015 because we’re a fan club and no one is taking a salary. Saturday-only or Sunday-only tickets do not include the Saturday evening meal or any other refreshments that are included in the weekend ticket.

Gerry Anderson Q&A guests for BritSciFi announced

Britscifi3 will pay tribute to Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson

The guests who will be attending Jamie Anderson’s Q&A at BritSciFi in Leicester on March 9th have been revealed. The line-up is:

  • Judy Price, puppeteer on Terrahawks
  • Mark Woollard – Director of New Captain Scarlet and FX artist
  • Richard Gregory – visual and special effects wizard who provided the aliens in Space Precinct, as well as various props and models in Terrahawks

Fans of Doctor Who will be interested to know that Richard was also  responsible for designing the 1980s-style Cybermen and a host of other aliens from the series. So there should be plenty of questions to put to him!

Say hello to Fanderson at BritSciFi!

Fanderson will have a presence in the Anderson Alley section of BritsciFi throughout Saturday March 9th. Please feel free to come along and say hello and bring your membership details with you!

In memory of Gerry, funds will be raised for the Alzheimer’s Society during the event.
