When you join Fanderson we’ll send you your first membership package which will consist of a welcome letter from our chairman, your membership badge and card, along with the latest edition of our club magazine FAB Express and the FAB Annual.
New members who join later in the membership year will receive the above plus any issues of FAB Express that were published earlier in that year.
New members who join when the summer mailing is due to be sent out will be asked by email if they would like that year’s membership package or prefer to start with the following year’s (as by choosing the current one they will need to renew their membership very soon after joining). If you choose the following year please be aware that your membership package will arrive in December, although any back issues of FAB Express and the FAB Annual are available to buy from our Shop.
The club’s membership year begins with the winter edition of FAB Express with issues following in spring and then summer, when members will be asked to renew their memberships for the next year.
Everyone’s membership expires when the summer issue of FAB Express is mailed, which will include details of how to renew your membership to receive the following year’s membership packages of three FAB Express’s and the FAB Annual. You can still make purchases from Fanderson Sales until the winter edition is mailed, at which point your membership will expire.
Our club magazine FAB Express (published each winter, spring and summer) includes the all the news, reviews, competitions, club news, merchandise, letters and any other time-sensitive content. We tell all members when a mailing is on its way with a new story on our website.
The hardback FAB Annual is packed with interviews, cutaways, research and in-depth articles (which used to be part of our previous magazine FAB, back issues of which are available from the Shop) and lots of new ideas thrown in for good measure.
The Fanderson Podcast is hosted by journalist and broadcaster (and long-time Fanderson member) Ros Connors, our podcasts share information, views and stories with fans – just like you. You can also join the Fanderson social media community, using the links under Social Media in the main menu.
In addition, the club has a range of merchandise, produced exclusively for Fanderson members, which you can see in our shop. You can add anything you want in your basket along with your membership and you’ll be charged for your complete transaction. Be aware, though, that merchandise orders and membership packages are sent separately, from different parts of the UK. See our Shipping and Returnspage. The club has expenses in addition to what you see/receive. Your membership fee also pays for bank fees, card payment processing, storage, website hosting, podcast hosting, stationery, postage, computer equipment, license fees, transport and so on. We review our products, services and suppliers at least every year to ensure we’re keeping these costs as low as possible whilst delivering the quality Fanderson members expect.
