Actor Frederick Jaeger, who guested as jewel thief Bergen in the Baubles, Bangles And Beads episode of The Protectors, died in Majorca, Spain, on June 18th, aged 76. Jaeger was a familiar face on British television throughout the 60s and 70s for his regular roles in The Onedin Line and Special Branch as well as guest roles in episodes of The Avengers, Doctor Who, Department S, Jason King, The Persuaders!, The New Avengers, Return Of The Saint and The Professionals. He retired from acting in 1996.
