1970 – The Birmingham Post reviews the first episode of UFO screened yesterday by saying that the Anderson’s have turned people into puppets and that everyone will be wearing skin tight jumpsuits and variations on that theme, the review in the Evening Chronicle (Tyne Tees region) reads nearly the same. The review in The Coventry Evening Telegraph describes the first episode as impressive with superb special effects, massive resident cast which provided some of the best science fiction material ever seen on television.
