1966 – The second series of Thunderbirds debuts on ATV London, Tyne Tees, Southern, T.W.W. and Anglia Television

1967 – From today until 11th November Century 21 Merchandising organise a personality tour of more than 1000 sites in the London and Midlands television areas, with two models dressed as Captain Scarlet and an Angel pilot. They will arrive in a Mini Moke at toy shops, department stores, cinemas, schools and shopping centres where they hand out leaflets, pennants and window stickers

1967 – Captain Blue and Rhapsody Angel (in human form) appear at Claycots Infant School in Britwell, the two will spend the week visiting The Midlands and London areas in a mini-moke to publicise the latest Century 21 production. Captain Blue played by actor Malcolm Morley and Rhapsody played by model Jill Wale were both chosen for their physical resemblance  to their puppets from the series

1967 – The Daily Mirror reviews the first episode of Captain Scarlet which started on ATV London yesterday, with the heading Puppets With A Punch.

1968 – Joe 90 starts on Nippon Educational Television in Japan

1970 – UFO begins on Anglia Television

1970 – The first episode of UFO is previewed on ATN 7 in Sydney, Australia although the series won’t be broadcast again until May 1971 when it begins again with Identified

1976 – The second series of Space:1999 starts on KPRC 2 in Houston, USA

2015 – Fanderson’s The Future Is Fantastic Convention takes place this weekend at The Holiday Inn at Maidenhead
