dee-anderson-at-special-assignment-smallWe are delighted to announce that Dee Anderson will be our special guest at Supercelebration in September.

The daughter of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, Dee was born in  Mississippi, USA, before coming to London as a child, while her parents were producing shows such as Stingray, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet.

She has carved a successful career as a jazz singer, and will be appearing in London later this year with her band featuring the fabulous jazz pianist Isaac Asumadu.

She has also appeared in numerous UK theatre and television productions  and has even voiced Lady Penelope in a national advertising campaign for Halifax.

We look forward to welcoming Dee to Supercelebration!

We are delighted to announce that Dee Anderson will be attending Special Assignment later this year!

Born in Mississippi, USA, Dee came to London as a child, growing up in a world of celebrity and entertainment while her parents – Gerry and Sylvia Anderson – were making Thunderbirds and their other iconic shows.

She has appeared in numerous UK theatre and television productions (The Bill, London’s Burning) and worked alongside legendary actors and performers. She also followed in her mother’s footsteps earlier this year in voicing Lady Penelope in the Halifax national advertising campaign.

Her recent return to her singing career has been extremely successful, with her album Love in a Dark Place being favourably reviewed in the national press, and a national radio campaign and tour of jazz venues taking place throughout the country. She has also written THE DREAM MAKERS, a new Musical, in association with the international franchise Stagecoach Theatre Art.

We look forward to welcoming Dee to Special Assignment to talk about her life, memories of her parents and playing Lady Penelope!

Sylvia and Dee Anderson to develop new animated series – The Last Station

Sylvia Anderson and her daughter Dee Anderson have announced plans for funding of an exciting new animated series!

Set in the distant future on Mykron, a planet far from Earth, The Last Station is a fusion of music, animation and science fiction. The series charts the threat posed to Mykron by the sinister Spyrons, vampiric monsters that feed off the creative energy of music and souls.Robot DJs The Hakitans

Having fully developed the concept, characters and scripts, the Andersons have turned to crowdsourcing platform Indiegogo to raise the money needed to take the project to a finalised stage and produce the first pilot six episodes.

The Last Station has  garnered some high-profile involvement. Cass Lewis of Skunk Anansie fame is the series Musical Director, and will be sourcing musical talent for the series. Thomas Sangster (Game of Thrones) stars in the voice cast.

Sir Richard Taylor, best known for  iconic multi-award winning productions such as Lord of the Rings, Avatar and The Hobbit has described The Last Station as ‘Groundbreaking Television and of its Time’.

The £660,000 goal has  one month to run – The Last Station needs your support!
