This is a beautifully produced double album. The music is excellently themed on each of the four sides too. Although mostly composed by the genius that is Barry Gray, the contributions from Derek Wadsworth are no less wonderful. If this was released as a “Lounge/Jazz” collection on a label like ACE Records, they’d be singing its praises as a long lost gem.

A really fun release from Fanderson. Beautiful packaging as you might expect for the gatefold itself, really smart graphic design which suits the set perfectly.
I was a little disappointed at the CD’s pouch, which felt a bit like the sort of thing a copied CD might passed to a mate in rather than the printed paper sleeve I would have preferred – very minor criticism though and the CD itself has had a lot of play in the car so I’m glad it was provided.
I’d love for Fanderson to do more of these compilations to accompany the snazzy programme-specific releases from Silva Screen.
