This is the sound of an Alien Attack!

Now you can listen to the sound of an Alien Attack, with our new soundtrack CD!

Fanderson is delighted to announce the first in our series of soundtrack releases to the Super Space Theater compilation movies from 1978-82. The project is the brain-child of Fanderson member Kenji Rinoie, who says “As a fan of Barry Gray, I am really glad to have been involved in producing this new soundtrack album. I know many fans are not fond of the (many) additional music cues to the Super Space Theatre compilations, however, these upcoming releases will bring us to a deeper world of the maestro for they will contain some unreleased stuff and a lot of notes about music itself. I hope you all will enjoy them.”

Alien Attack is a limited edition release of just 500 copiesorder your copy on the club website now!

Keep an eye out for Thunderbirds To The Rescue, coming soon.

UPDATED: Space:1999 items up for auction – 13/14th October

UPDATED 15/10/23: We’ve updated the listing to include hammer prices (in US$).

Heritage Auctions (“The World’s Largest Collectibles Auctioneer”) will be auctioning over 550 items from the film and television science fiction in The Greg Jein Collection on 13-14th October 2023.

The landmark Greg Jein Auction features the collection of the Oscar- and Emmy-nominated miniature-maker who helped create the mothership from Close Encounters Of The Third Kind and worked on most of the Star Trek movies and TV series since 1977. Jein spent decades putting together this unparalleled assemblage, which includes one of the largest collections of Star Trek props, costumes, models and production photos ever offered to the public, from the original series to nearly every big- and small-screen sequel and spinoff that followed. They’re joined by some of the most significant pieces from sci-fi and cinema history, including his mothership maquette. It spans Jein’s beloved 1940s and ’50s serials, including Spy Smasher and Commando Cody: Sky Marshal Of The Universe, to such 1960s TV shows as Batman and Lost In Space to 2001: A Space Odyssey and Star Wars.

A Celebration of ITC – DVD available now!

In November 2018, a special celebration of the unforgettable shows of ITC took place at Elstree Studios. Stars Annette Andre, Space:1999‘s Prentis Hancock, Jenny Hanley, UFO‘s Georgina Moon, Ian Ogilvy, Thunderbirds‘ Shane Rimmer (in what would prove to be his last public appearance) and Madeline Smith were joined by Space:1999 stuntman Paul Weston, The Protectors‘ director John Hough, and crew members Tony Sloman and Derek Wells for a great evening of chat!

With so many Anderson alumni involved, Fanderson members who were unable to attend the event are sure to be interested in the 120-minute DVD, which includes highlights from all the on-stage Q&A sessions. There’s a review of the event here.

Order your copy now for just £9.99 (+ P&P if outside UK), with a proportion of proceeds being donated to Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice.

NOTE: A Celebration Of ITC (DVD) cannot be ordered from Fanderson, but directly through Quoit Media.
