Because multiplied over Fanderson’s membership that is considerable volume of plastic which will likely end up in the bin, and in every case, even your example where it had been snowed on all day, it wasn’t actually needed.

It’s entirely proper for books and frankly most rigid things to be packaged in cardboard and nothing else these days.

From my own experience I am quite sure that the club will deal quickly with any damaged items but I would strongly object to things being wrapped in an extra layer in case of circumstances which will affect zero-to-few recipients.

If you live in a place where packages are typically left outside then perhaps you should provide somewhere for your postal workers to leave stuff in the dry.

I agree, too much. Given these don’t appear to be limited releases I suspect they’ll end up fodder for future Network sales and/or Rarewaves.

Might consider it at half price.

I’d welcome the opportunity to read any of the content from the first 60 editions of FAB. A reprint, compilation, best of, online edition… name it, I’d be there!

I’ve deliberately been overly gentle with mine having had books with similar bindings which have come apart exactly as you’ve described.

I agree it is a great read and a stunning product. Really hope more of the home entertainment releases are covered in a similar book, showcasing the art from the Channel 5 releases and whatnot.

Kicking myself for not preordering the super fancy box set, but the set was thoroughly enjoyable. I skipped the Supercar set, but it would be rather nice to have everything from XL5 to The Secret Service in a similar set. I imagine these will be the ultimate home media releases of these given the general movement to streaming – I went to a charity shop today and they were doing Blu rays for 50p and DVDs at 20 for £1 – including box sets. Real sign of the times.

Colour me confused. Am I supposed to have a membership card of any sort? I joined in (I think) 2016. Had all the badges and whatnot since, but no card – unless we’re talking about the pack of cigarette cards packed in with the last issue of FAB?

Just to add that this is a quality item – I bought a copy for my Dad and it seems like every time I ring him he’s playing it.

I’d love it if future Fanderson soundtrack releases also had a vinyl release – although I guess the practicalities of releasing a 4 CD set as an 8 disc Vinyl collection could make this quite a premium item. The lovely Silva Screen releases will do in the mean time 🙂
