FAB Annual 2025 on its way in time for Christmas, for most club members

Finally! We can confirm that FAB Annual 2025 has been mailed to Fanderson members today!

Hopefully, this will give enough time for the majority of members to find their annual under the tree this Christmas – certainly those in the UK should and maybe those in parts of Europe too. Unfortunately, due to ongoing industrial action in Canada we’ve been advised not to mail to members there, but we’ll keep your FAB Annuals safe and post them as soon as the action is over and the backlog of mail has cleared.

Together with FAB Express 108, mailed recently, our winter mailing is complete and we can get on with welcoming all the new club members who have been waiting patiently for their membership packages!

[UK] Anderson rarities to be screened at Southend Film Festival

For the third year running, Fanderson is the proud sponsor of the Anderson On Film presentation as part of the Southend Film Festival, enabling fans to enjoy Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s work with other fans this summer… on film!

In this digital world it’s easy to watch programmes on your phone, to stream, or even to watch from DVD or Blu-ray Disc. This year’s Southend Film Festival gives Anderson fans a chance to have that collective experience of watching with fellow fans, thanks to the beauty that is celluloid film, not once but twice!

Fanderson member Mark Joseph loves to surprise attendees with rarities, and this year he’s secured a second slot to share some special films with fellow fans:

  • Wednesday 5th June at 19:00 – Thunderbirds Are Go from 35mm film, plus the Thunderbirds episode Trapped In The Sky scanned to show as much of the image as possible – revealing some aspects you were never meant to see!
  • Sunday 9th June 17:00 – Dick Spanner The Case Of The Human Cannonball and the unique The Missing Episode, featuring Shane Rimmer, plus special guest series creator Terry Adlam. This show also includes the ultra-rare Japanese home movie version of Thunderbirds Trapped In The Sky, plus Stingray Eastern Eclipse with 60th anniversary tribute!

The popular Southend Film Festival has been running for fifteen years in venues around Southend, Essex. The festival’s patrons are actors Ray Winstone, Vicki Michelle, Phil Davis and Tony Denham, and you can see all about it at www.southendfilmfestival.com.

Also included, and of interest to Supermarionation fans, is The Adventures Of Rupert Bear complete series DVD. This is the series Mary Turner and John read made for ITC once the Century 21 puppet stages had closed.
