CHARITY AUCTION – SPACE PRECINCT SHIRTS!

We have five items for day 5 of the advent calendar. We’re auctioning five genuine police uniform shirts from Space Precinct, raising funds for our advent charity – Actors’ Benevolent Fund.

Each shirt is marked with the actor or character name, but not every shirt has epaulets as shown in the photo. There’s a short form to enable you to place your bid(s) for each shirt:

[UK] Space Precinct upscaled to HD on ITVX

ITV Content Services has upscaled Gerry Anderson’s 1994 series Space Precinct to high definition for their ITVX Premium streaming service. The series will also be available to BritBox subscribers too.

Space Precinct was filmed on Super16 film, and a true remastering to high definition would be both time-consuming and quite costly, so a way of using artificial intelligence has been used to create detail that is not there in the Digital Betacam masters that are now available.

ITVX Premium is available for £5.99/month or £59.99/year, though a free 7-day trial is available.

Network’s August BOGOF now on!

The UK’s top cult TV and film home video label, Network, has another ‘buy one, get one free’ offer this weekend!

Until 16:00 on Wednesday 31st August if you buy one of the 100 selected titles on DVD, you get another free (cheapest item will be free).

Fanderson members will be mostly interested in Fireball XL5, Space:1999, Space Precinct, Supercar and Terrahawks. However, those looking for something a little left-field might enjoy Space:1999 co-stars Barry Morse and Catherine Schell supporting Gene Barry in The Adventurer!

At a loss for some quality seasonal television from the broadcasters this Christmas? Why not dig out the TVTimes special that we mailed with FAB last year (and again recently for new members)?

Surround yourself with some treats and a little something to wash it all down, then feast out all day on the very best seasonal Gerry and Sylvia Anderson entertainment (and remember, Stingray A Christmas To Remember is just one of the many programmes now available in high definition).

PS – Obviously, but just in case anyone thought otherwise, in the supplement the 40th Anniversary Quiz closed on 31st January 2021, and Six-Five Special offers were valid until 14th February 2021!
