Here’s the classic Destination Moonbase Alpha TV movie – but as you’ve never seen it before! Rebuilt from the high definition restorations created for the series itself, this feature-length adaptation of The Bringers Of Wonder two-parter is presented here as a widescreen special edition featuring enhanced special effects. With an exclusive new introduction by David Hirsch (mastermind behind the original Super Space Theater shows) and Tim Mallett from Kindred Productions (mastermind behind the new restorations), it’s an event no self-respecting Space: 1999 fan can afford to miss!

The movie will be free for everyone with a Network On Air account to watch from 7pm on Tuesday 25th January until 7pm 1st February.

The family of Fanderson founding member David Nightingale are in the process of sorting through his estate, and we’ve offered to try to help sell some of his old stock of Engale products.

New ‘must-have’ Space:1999 book!

Extensively trailed in Fanderson Podcast 8, Telos Publishing has announced their forthcoming ‘must have’ book for all Space:1999 fans.

To Everything That Might Have Been: The Lost Universes of Space: 1999 is written by David Hirsch and Robert E Wood with the series’ story consultant Christopher Penfold. The book “delves deep into the early days and development of the show, includes details from recently discovered documentation and correspondence to provide the most detailed view yet of exactly how Space:1999 came to be and how it developed”.

AUS: History-making Joe 90 DVD from Via Vision

Australia’s cult and classic film and television label Via Vision is releasing Joe 90 on DVD this February. Details are sketchy but the set includes all 30 remastered episodes “plus special features” for AU$59.95.

This release is surely historic as the package is labelled as “Gerry And Sylvia Anderson’s Joe 90″ – possibly the first time that Sylvia has been credited as such and so prominently for her co-creation. Let’s hope other licensees follow suit.

Unlike some online stores, product reviews in the Fanderson Shop are from genuine club members, so you know you can trust what they say. Unbelievably, some stores use robots or even ‘review farms’ where hundreds of low-paid workers sit, relentlessly hitting the ‘review’ button, and writing what they’re told to say about a product.

Stingray coming to Blu-ray Disc in 2022

The series will be offered in two limited edition boxsets. For £80, the Deluxe edition includes:

Also included, and of interest to Supermarionation fans, is The Adventures Of Rupert Bear complete series DVD. This is the series Mary Turner and John read made for ITC once the Century 21 puppet stages had closed.
